IBO Series -Rnd 3 - Whitford

Round 3 of the Series is done and dusted and Whitford was considered to be a challenge.  With the temperature sitting around 1 degree - some said -1 degree - which truly was a breathtaking start to what turned out to be a very sunny day with clear blue skies for as far as the eye can see no clouds anywhere.  Did not help though in the forest/bush area the course was set around.  Still cold and dark in some places.

Whitford club members had truly set about to test the skills of the shooters with distance stretched as far as was allowed and on some small animals that was quite a challenge, even for the most experienced shooters.

With the school holidays in full swing we did miss some of our regular shooters and there were quite a few regulars with the flu that seems to be engulfing the country.

Top score for the tournament was Joseph Zwaans with 566 with Jason Loane second 559 and in third was Lisa Zwaans with 542  great to see one of our regular lady shooters chasing the guys.  Joseph look out here comes Mum catching you quickly.

The Hunter Class has seen some very good competition this series with Round 3 seeing all the shooters in the high to mid 400's.  Check out the full set of results.

The next round at Bay of Islands Archery Club, Kerikeri is the final.  This day will be a full on day with the two rounds to be shot followed by prize giving for the round then the overall series prize giving.

To be in the Series placing you need to have shot 3 rounds with a possible score of 30 for the series.

So until Kerikeri - 16th August - look out for your registration forms etc which will be published in the next couple of weeks.
